Stylistic figure of antithesis in ancient Russian homiletics and hagiography of the weaving of words

Abstract

The translated Slavic hymnography, like the original Byzantine one, contains a large number of antitheses and antinomies, which served as a model for many original Slavic works. The article analyses the ancient Russian homiletic and hagiographic works from the point of view of the poetic features of antinomies and antitheses, which are often found in the works of the weaving of words style.
