Testimonies of the faith of the Pentecostal Church members as a form of religious persuasion

Abstract
The article is devoted to the language persuasion measures which are used during evangelization in the Pentecostal Church, the largest Polish ecclesial community belonging to the charismatic wing of evangelical movement. The analysis of the authors’ article focuses on the practice of so called giving testimony, which is publicly given story that main theme is the way to God, the circumstances and consequences of conversion. They perform evangelizing function in pentecostal devotion, hence the numerous persuasive treatments, which the authors of the article reconstruct on the basis of 78 contemporary testimonies of the faithful of the Pentecostal Church.
